Since Saints Row Underground was never completed, it’ll be full of bugs and glitches and will probably freeze on you a lot, but despite this, it’s a lost piece of gaming history that its developers agreed should be allowed to roam free. Instead of it being a Saints Row 2 port for the Playstation Portable, Volition decided instead to make it into a spinoff game in the Saints Row series.
The project was originally started by Mass Media Games, but was eventually transferred to Savage Entertainment.
First they show us a previously unknown Saints Row game for PSP that was cancelled awhile ago, and now they’re giving us the beta ROM for free. Saints Row: Underground initially was planned to be a PSP port of Saints Row 2.
